Background
I started my career in dental technology at Manchester Dental Hospital in 1991, specialising in prosthodontic technology. I realised that I wanted to expand my knowledge in dental technology and so undertook Higher National Certificates in Prosthodontic Technology and Orthodontic Technology (1994 -1995)
I gained the Higher National Diploma in Maxillofacial Technology from Manchester Metropolitan University in 1997 which led me to taking the post of Specialist Maxillofacial / Orthodontic Technologist at Royal Preston Hospital. During my time at Preston I developed the service and was made Consultant Maxillofacial Prosthetist in 2012.
I have since taken up the position of Consultant Maxillofacial Prosthetist/Laboratory Manager for East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust in February 2016.
