Dr Savi Sivashankar is Clinical Director for neonatal services at Lancashire Women and Newborn Centre, at Burnley General Teaching Hospital.
She graduated from India and trained in North West deanery of UK. She spent four years in Greater Manchester as a Consultant Paediatrician and has been working as Consultant Neonatologist at ELHT since 2008. She has an interest in Cardiology and provides outpatient and inpatient ECHO service for the local population along with colleagues. She was Lead Clinician for Lancashire and South Cumbria Neonatal Transport Service from 2012 till 2017. She helped set up the bereavement service and Mortality Governance system for Burnley NICU. She is Course Director for Neonatal Life Support Course, run under the direction of UK Resus council. She is actively involved with the Lancashire and South Cumbria neonatal network and North West neonatal Operational Delivery Network.
