Midwife sonographer service

As your pregnancy progresses your midwife may feel an extra scan is needed to assess your baby’s growth.  At ELHT we have a midwife led scan service - a team of experienced midwives that are also qualified to perform third trimester fetal growth scans.  Daily appointments are available and your midwife can access this service directly and book a fetal growth scan without delay. 

This service is midwife led and supported by the wider obstetric team.  As your scan is performed by a midwife ultrasound practitioner, any other antenatal checks, advice and support can be given at the same time.  The scan findings will be shared with you and your onward journey planned accordingly.  You do not need a full bladder for a growth scan.
