Fussy eating is a phase that many children go through and it can be a very frustrating and worrying time for parents and carers. There is no, one reason why a child becomes a fussy eater but exposing your children to the food you would eventually like them to eat is very likely to help.
See the following webinars and handouts for further support.
If your child’s diet is limited it is a good idea to start giving them a daily multivitamin. Choose a vitamin that is age appropriate for your child. Your pharmacist may be able to help if you are unsure of which vitamins to choose.
Ask for a dietitian appointment if:
- Your child’s weight or growth is a concern
- Your child’s diet is restricted to 10 foods or less
- You suspect a food allergy
