Nominations are now open for East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust's Star Awards, shining a light on outstanding care and achievements.
The local community is being asked to put forward individuals or teams from the Trust who have made a difference.
The awards recognise those who have gone above and beyond to provide care for patients, support fellow colleagues or assist the Trust in its everyday work.
There are 13 categories celebrating the work of those who are clinically trained or in a supporting role, including Clinical Worker of the Year, Compassionate Care Award, Unsung Hero and Volunteer of the Year.
Categories also include the coveted Patient's Choice Award which is a unique opportunity for those who have received treatment at ELHT or their families or carers to say a special thank you for care provided.
Kate Quinn, Operational Director of Human Resources and Organisational Development said: “Our Star Awards are a fantastic way we can say a very big thank you to colleagues across our services for the commitment they have given to delivering safe, personal and effective care to our patients throughout the most challenging times known to the NHS.
“This year we are especially proud to introduce our new ‘Inclusivity Award’ recognising members of our ELHT Family who have strived to improve inclusion within the Trust and have made a real difference to ensuring that colleagues and patients have a sense of belonging and identity within ELHT.
“It’s one of 13 categories, so please take a look and put forward your nominations for those people who have made a difference to your life. This really is a lovely way for us to recognise the amazing work taking place across the Trust every day.”
All those who are nominated will be celebrated at a special virtual event on 14 July, 2022.
If you know someone from ELHT who has gone above and beyond to provide safe, personal and effective care, you can nominate them for a Star Award by visiting the Trust’s website at https://elht.nhs.uk/working-us/star-awards-2022.
