Please could I request the following information from your pharmacy teams:
· Do any staff work full time hours across either 3 or 4 days a week? If yes please provide details of the job role and details of their shift patterns.
Staff in our admissions area band 4-8a, work a full-time roster over 6 weeks.
A dispensary Manager works full time hours across <5 days.
No other full-time staff work compressed hours over <5 days – the most is 34 hours/<5 days, remaining staff work 37.5hrs/5 days.
· How often do pharmacy staff work a weekend shift?
Pharmacists 1 in 6
Technical and support staff 1 in 8
· Do all pharmacy staff contribute to the weekend rota? Please list any staff exempt from weekend working
<5 staff member currently medically exempt
<5 staff member exempt– they only work for the Trust 2 mornings a week under an SLA.
All others, excluding chief pharmacists, participate in the weekend rotas
· How often do pharmacists work an on call shift?
This varies based on the number of pharmacists on the rota at any one time. The on-call does <5 shift/
<5 day at a time. The ideal number is 21 but, it varies between 14-18, therefore 1 day every 2-3
weeks.
· Do all pharmacists contribute to the on call rota? Please list any staff exempt from the on call rota
Currently B6 and B7 up to the completion of their clinical diploma partake in the on-call rota. All bands of pharmacist have on-call service provision within their JD and this is under review to ensure a robust enough on-call service.
