Can you please provide confirmation of any current insourced or outsourced provision of Endoscopy support being utilised by the Trust, along with

1.       The name of Provider.

We are currently using 2 Insource providers with additional support from a third and fourth for specialist EUS cover. We are using one all day list from Medinet Monday to Friday with further support of four lists Saturdays, Sundays and some bank holidays. We are using two all day lists from Totally Healthcare Saturday and Sunday.

2.       Confirmation of Insourced or Outsourced arrangement.

We get specialist support with EUS and EUS FNA from either Elective Services or the Endoscopy Group which is adhoc but no more than one all day list per week but this is negotiable dependant on demand and capacity.

3.       The start date of the contract and proposed end date.

These services have been in place for some time and a contract end date currently of March 2023.

4. Current number of patients awaiting OP assessment for diagnostic endoscopy. 6682 including both new and surveillance patients

5.        Number of patients admitted awaiting diagnostic endoscopy.

We do not admit patients waiting for diagnostic procedures.
