1.       Could you state the number of staff members who were recorded to have had Long Covid while working for your trust at any time in the period between October 2021 - October 2022?

91 – These staff are based on period January 22 – present.  This is because the Trust only introduced and started recording the ‘Long COVID’ reason from January 22.

2.       Could you state all leave of absences taken where Long Covid was cited as the cause between October 2021 - October 2022 and the length of time each absence lasted for.

See attached number of calendar days taken by the 91 members of staff.  The Trust have not included dates as it may make staff identifiable.

3.       Does your trust offer any specialised support for staff members living with Long Covid? If so could you please provide details of these services?

Yes, ELHT staff have access to the Pennine Lancashire Post Covid Syndrome Service, which provides specialist support for Long Covid/Post Covid Syndrome if assessed as appropriate.  See the attached further information about the service.  

See attached guiding principles post COVID/Post COVID Syndrome Service.  The Trust are supporting colleagues back into the workplace with 'pre-hab' which allows members of staff to come into work, as part of their rehabilitation programme, whilst off work to assess their abilities and help support them back into the workplace.  Our Occupational Health team are also working closely with the long covid clinic to ensure that we are supporting theses staff members wherever we can.
