The Department of Restorative Dentistry (part of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery) in East Lancashire provides specialist level dental and oral assessment, diagnosis, advice and rehabilitation management for patients:
· Before and after head and neck oncology treatment
· With multiple missing teeth caused by severe trauma, major facial surgery or congenital absence.
· Prosthodontic treatment challenges beyond the scope of general dental practice
The management of patients may involve advice to the referring practitioner on how best to manage a patients’ care, or may involve treatment within the department. Treatments can involve the use of conventional crowns, bridges and dentures as well as dental implant supported reconstructions as appropriate.

GP referrals are not generally accepted, but in exceptional cases will be taken
