The POG Physiotherapy Service is a small team of physiotherapists specialising in pelvic health.  The service provides outpatient physiotherapy assessment and intervention for people with a range of bladder and bowel problems as well as pregnancy-related pelvic girdle pain.

What we do
The service provides assessment and treatment of female and male continence problems, pelvic floor dysfunction, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain and back or pelvic pain in pregnancy.  We can also see patients with separation of the abdominal muscles after pregnancy.

 

We accept self-referrals as well as referrals from any health professional for patients living in East Lancashire/Blackburn with Darwen with pelvic floor related issues where there is potential for improvement with physiotherapy guidance.

The team is made up of a Head of Service for Community Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, POG and Paediatrics. a Clinical Team Lead Physiotherapist, and two specialist physiotherapists.
