We have a dedicated paediatric physiotherapy team who provide support to the children's wards based at Royal Blackburn Hospital between the hours of 8:30 - 10:30 and 15:00 - 16:30.
Our physiotherapists work closely alongside the doctors, nurses and other members of the multidisciplinary team to support children who are acutely unwell with respiratory needs, those who have been admitted with orthopaedic needs such as after a fracture or surgery or those children and young people who have long term conditions (neurological or respiratory).
Physiotherapists will work alongside children, young people and their parents whilst in hospital providing treatment plans, advice and support with ongoing needs through discharge planning and referral to other local community services as required.
