The Roaming Team is a pivotal part of the ODN. They work in the community and prisons as well as supporting all the providers within the ODN across Lancashire and South Cumbria, they work alongside a diverse range of services in the area such as drug and alcohol services, probation, approved premises, charities, and food banks. They carry out groundbreaking work utilising a clinical van to visit patients in their preferred location making the service available to those often marginalised from traditional healthcare settings. They are supported by the Hepatitis C Trust who have a team of lived experience staff and volunteers who are essential to patient engagement with projects running in several areas including the homeless population.


Jane is a registered nurse with nearly 40 years’ experience in the NHS within various nursing and managerial roles. Jane has been in post as the Programme Manager for Lancashire and South Cumbria Operational Delivery Network for Hepatitis C since 2018 and works collaboratively with all partner organisations within the network. Jane has extensive operational management, project management and transformational change experience. Jane also has qualified teacher status.

Rachel has worked for ELHT for over 20 years from the age of 16 when she started as a nursing cadet. She has been a registered nurse for 15 years and has worked in a variety of nursing and leadership roles. Rachel has worked for Lancashire and South Cumbria ODN since December 2020. Rachel has become a non-medical prescriber and developed her skills in clinical examination. As the team manager she is responsible for a small team of clinical nurse specialists and senior support workers. Rachel is compassionate and caring towards her patients and is committed to reducing stigma around hepatitis C.

 

Rachel has worked for the NHS for 12 years in varying roles working her way up to her current role as Project Support Manager for Lancashire and South Cumbria Operational Delivery Network for Hepatitis C. Rachel excels in operational management, problem solving and is usually the first point of contact for the ODN. Rachel has extensive experience managing patient pathways and enjoys working on performance and data. Rachel is currently studying for a leadership and project management qualification.

Clare is an AMSPAR qualified medial secretary and has worked in various roles within healthcare for over 30 years. She brings a unique perspective to her role having worked both clinically and in administration. She has worked for Lancashire and South Cumbria Operational Delivery Network for Hepatitis C for 3 years. Clare is passionate about patient understanding of medical terminology and processes, developing communication tools and a patient information leaflet regarding hepatitis C.
