Staff at The Willows Pub and Restaurant in Guide have chosen hospital charity ELHT&me to become the refurbished restaurant’s official charity partner.
As well as hosting fundraising events, the Blackburn family pub and hotel is focused on raising funds to provide new equipment for the Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital.
Denise Gee, ELHT&me Fundraising Manager, said: “We are delighted to have been chosen by (Willows manager) Karina and her colleagues at The Willows as their charity partner.
“It’s an ideal partnership with The Willows being in such a great location on Haslingden Road, next to junction 5 on the M65 and the closest hotel and restaurant to the Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital.
“At East Lancashire Hospitals, we’re working hard to provide the very best treatment and care for local patients, by providing high-quality transitional care, home support, respite, crisis and end-of-life care.
Benefitting from a complex makeover following the opening of the adjacent 38-room lodge, staff at The Willows have some great ideas about how they’ll be fundraising for the hospital charity.
“ELHT&me is a very worthwhile charity and one for which we hope to collectively raise significant funds,” says The Willows Manager, Karina Rogers.
“We know how the amazing Willows customers and staff are ready to support such a worthy local cause and we’ve got lots of ideas for events and activities to raise funds for our local hospital charity, ELHT&me.”
