Unsung heroes from East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust will be celebrated at a special event next week.

The Star Awards is an annual celebration to recognise the work and achievement of those who work across the Trust and say thank you.

The local health care provider is inviting members of the community to join them virtually as they reveal the winners of the awards in a livestreamed event on July 14, that will be hosted by breakfast show presenter, Graham Liver, from BBC Radio Lancashire.

Operational Director of Human Resources and Organisational Development, Kate Quinn, said: “Our Star Awards are highly anticipated each year. We can never thank our colleagues enough for the commitment they have given to delivering safe, personal and effective care to our patients throughout the most challenging times known to the NHS. Hopefully this goes some way to giving some well-deserved recognition to our incredible teams and individuals.

“Our Star Awards are a great way to shine a light on outstanding care and achievements. Even though it will be hosted virtually we have pulled out all the stops to ensure that it is an extra-special evening for everyone.”

The awards will be broadcast live on Thursday, 14 July, 2022 from 7pm and can be accessed via YouTube: https://youtu.be/R-_WX-gwgv0. Or follow the results live on the Trust’s Twitter feed.
