Alistair is ELHT’s employee of the month for February
East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust’s Employee of the Month for February was awarded to Alistair Hey who works in the pathology transfusion lab.
Alistair’s was nominated by community midwife Abbey for his caring and compassionate nature. Abbey said:
“He is always so helpful; he goes out of his way to help everyone and is so polite and lovely to speak to on the phone. A couple of my colleagues have also made similar comments about him. “
Presenting the award, Jawad Husain, Executive Medical Director of ELHT said:
“Alistair has been praised for always bringing a smile to people’s faces and going out of his way to help These are really difficult times for everybody and I cannot tell you how much the Trust appreciates the commitment, skill and professionalism he has shown.
It was delightful to meet him and it is always heart-warming to receive such positive feedback and recognition for staff at the trust. Alistair was genuinely surprised and pleased to receive the award.
