Martin Hodgson commenced the role of Chief Executive on 9 August, 2022 after holding the role on an interim basis since 1 September, 2021.
He joined the Trust in November 2009, from Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust where he was Executive Director of Children’s Services.
He has a background in operational management and has considerable experience of implementing major strategic change. One example of this is the reconfiguration of children’s services across Manchester. Martin is also involved in the development of vascular, urology and stroke services across Lancashire and South Cumbria.
Martin takes a lead role in the development of clinical services with partners across both the Pennine Lancashire and wider Lancashire and South Cumbria footprints.
