All Women are signposted to the Miscarriage Association, PETALS for counselling and offered referral for local
Counselling sessions. This is given in leaflet format.
3) The total number of bereavement midwives employed by your trust, or any other staff/nurses specialised in supporting women after a miscarriage.
There is one full time bereavement midwife employed by the Trust who can offer support to woman experiencing
miscarriage after 16 weeks gestation. Prior to this, support is given on EPAU, or the Gynaecology ward and woman are signposted for further support.
