Maternity triage

Call the triage number  01282 804213 if you experience any urgent problems from 16 weeks to 28 days after having your baby.

The telephone triage midwife will advise you over the phone and you may be invited to attend triage. Some reasons to call may include:

  • Reduced or Changed Fetal Movements
  • Abdominal or Pelvic Pains
  • Vaginal Bleeding
  • If you think your waters may have broken or you may be in labour
  • Visual changes (spots, flashing lights, blurry vision)
  • Any trauma such as a fall or any hit to the abdomen
  • Concerns after having your baby such as wound care
  • Any instinct that something is off or doesn’t feel normal for you and your baby

Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit

For women experiencing complications of early pregnancy such as pain and bleeding up to 16 weeks of pregnancy.
