We really appreciate the generosity of people at Easter time – and all those yummy chocolate eggs we receive!

But we do get so much chocolate, we think we might pop! Some children are unable to join in the Easter fun, as they can't eat chocolate because of restricted diets, or because are nil-by-mouth for of treatment and surgery.

We’re asking people to consider an alternative donation, 'Bunny Money'!

Instead of buying us a chocolate egg, consider giving us a cash donation that we can use to offer activities and entertainment to improve the stay for our patients. This generous Easter gift will help us bring smiles across the Easter season and beyond.

Don’t worry though, the children staying in hospital over Easter won’t be missing out on chocolate treats. We already have enough donations offered by supporters to ensure we have an Easter egg for every child who is able to eat one.

How can I donate Bunny Money?

  • You can pay in a cash or cheque donation at General Office at Royal Blackburn or Burnley General Teaching Hospitals (please make cheques out to 'ELHT&Me'
  • You can post a cheque to the Fundraising Team, Level 1, Park View Offices, Royal Blackburn Hospital, Haslingden Road, Blackburn, BB2 3HH

Still really want to give a chocolate egg? We will still accept donations of Easter eggs, but due to the number received, we cannot guarantee it will be given to a patient! Any surplus eggs will be sold and profits used to help support services in other ways.

Thank you, have a 'Hoppy' Easter!
