There are many ways you can get involved and make a difference through fundraising. Could you:

  • Get your company involved? You could nominate us as your charity of the year or persuade your colleagues to do a one-off event in aid of us. Cake bakes, sweepstakes, raffles and teambuilding days are all great ways of encouraging others to get involved.
  • Get your school on board? Schools can get involved in many ways. We can benefit from fashion shows, cake sales and collections at school nativities. We're happy to visit your school to talk about the hospital and any ideas that you may have.
  • Make a donation? You can make a one-off donation. To make a donation, please visit our JustGiving page.
  • Give in memory? Many people ask for donations in lieu of flowers in memory of a loved one. We can provide donation envelopes and your funeral director will be able to advise on how best to go about this. Or you could take up a challenge in memory of a loved one, such as a sponsored run or skydive.
  • Volunteer your time? Your skills and time can be just as valuable as your money. Could you support our runners and be part of a cheering squad? Distribute our fundraising materials to local supports or help us to run our charity hub?

It doesn't matter how you do it - just have fun!

Play the ELHT&ME Lottery

Every week you have the chance to win the £25,000 Unity jackpot plus other fantastic cash prizes, and at the same time, you’re helping us raise funds to improve patient experience.

The more people play the more money we receive, so we need your support. For every £1 entry - at least 50p comes directly to us as profit.

How does it work?
The draw takes place every Friday and each entry costs just £1. When you join our lottery you’re allocated your own 6-digit Unity lottery number. A random winning number is drawn - the aim is to match the winning number.
If you match…
•    6 digits, you’ll win £25,000
•    5 digits, you’ll win £1,000
•    4 digits, you’ll win £25
•    3 digits, you’ll win five entries into the next draw
A match occurs if your digits are in the same place in the sequence as they are in the winning number.

For example:

325764 - random winning number
326574 - your lottery number
(This is a three-number match, winning five entries into the next draw]

All winners are notified by post; cash prizes are posted by cheque and prize entries are entered automatically into the next draw, so you can’t miss out!

The Garden of Memories

We need your support to ensure our hospital Garden of Memories continues to bloom.

In October 2020, the Garden of Memories was opened in the grounds of Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital. The garden is a tranquil space for contemplation and reflection. Now that the garden is complete, we now need your support to maintain the upkeep, and are inviting our community to donate plants, that will keep the garden, and the grounds across East Lancashire Hospital Trust looking beautiful all year round.

We would be extremely grateful for donations of bedding plants that will flourish with pretty petals during the summer months and will add a splash of colour to our outside spaces.  Not only will your donation have a visible impact it will also make a positive difference to the environment for our colleagues, patients and visitors. To donate please contact the fundraising team on 01254 732120 or email

Whether you choose a virtual rose, a tulip or a daisy, the funds will enable the charity to plant real-life flowers to maintain our outside spaces.
