We have spoken to our information team and they have confirmed that these are patient recorded on our Patient Administration System where the method of discharge is “death in hospital with autopsy”.
The table provided in our previous response and duplicated below, shows the total number of deaths in hospital, as requested by Q1 and Q3. This includes both the figures for those patients that received an autopsy and those that did not.
