Who are we?

Rakehead Community Neurorehabilitation Team (RCNT) is based within the grounds of Burnley General Hospital at Rakehead Rehabilitation Centre (RRC).

We also run outpatient clinics from Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital and Burnley General Teaching Hospital

Who are we?

The team consists of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses, neuropsychologists and speech and language therapists with assistant practitioners, rehabilitation assistants and an advanced clinical practitioner.

We are experienced in the rehabilitation of people with complex neurological conditions.

What do we do?

1. Provide an initial assessment in the home or appropriate community settion to establish your needs.  This can take place at a hospital, clinic, online or by telephone.
2. Support you to set your rehab goals which are realistic and achievable.  We then provide individual or group treatment programmes.  These will promote your recovery and help you reach your potential.
3. Liaise with other relevant services available in the community who may be able to support you.
4. Provide reports to your GP and/or the person who referred you where necessary.
