At your initial appointment, your clinician will discuss what matters to you and how we can support you. Your clinician will carry out an assessment to help determine what management options may be available to you to help you reach your recovery goals. A large part of our treatment includes advice, education and exercise. Our aim is to support patients in not only the short-term, but also the long-term management of conditions and the prevention of potential recurrence.

We aim to fully inform you of all the options available to help you manage your condition and to work in partnership with you to develop an evidence-based management plan that suits you and helps to meet your expectations. This approach is called ‘Shared Decision Making’.

  • Education and advice regarding your condition.
  • Lifestyle advice.
  • Condition specific support.
  • Exercise (home exercise, one-to-one, group).
  • Walking aids.
  • Joint injections.
  • Pain management advice.
  • Referral to other services as needed e.g., Orthopaedics, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Pain Management, Rheumatology, Podiatry.
  • Diagnostic imaging if required.
