The Urgent Treatment Centre at Royal Blackburn Hospital is changing location from Monday, 22 January.

Patients should still book in using the iPad at the usual Urgent Treatment Centre reception, based at the front of the Emergency Department, but they will then be directed to its new home, which is accessed through the main entrance of the hospital.

Directional signs will be in place and our fabulous reception teams are on hand if you need any help. Please note Burnley Urgent Treatment Centre is still available in its usual location.

Please use our Urgent Treatment Centre for:

  • Minor head injuries
  • Suspected broken bones and fractures
  • Sprains
  • Cuts and scrapes
  • Bites
  • Eye problems
  • Rising temperatures

Ambulatory Care Centre

Please note, if you get referred to our Ambulatory Emergency Care Unit, it can now be found in the outpatients department on Level 1 of Royal Blackburn Hospital.

To find it, simply use the main entrance at the hospital, follow the corridor round, past our charity hub and turn right at the green Macmillan pod. Don't worry, our helpful reception team are on hand if you need any assistance or directions.
