The outpatient pharmacy service at Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital has moved to a new location.
The new site, outside the main building, is in the portacabin that previously housed the Renal Unit on Old Bank Lane (near the main visitor car park). It is much bigger and has been specifically designed to the needs of the pharmacy, providing a better patient experience.
The outpatients pharmacy is run in collaboration with Lloyds Pharmacy and the opening times are:
- Monday to Friday 8.30am – 6pm
- Saturday and Bank Holidays 9am – 1pm
- Sundays – closed
The inpatient pharmacy will remain in its current loction on level one of the main hospital building.
The inpatient pharmacy will no longer be able to help with routine prescriptions but will dispense urgent outpatient prescriptions during these times:
- Saturday and Bank Holidays 1pm to 4pm
- Sunday 9am to 4pm
