Alison Turner, Directorate Lead for AHPs has been appointed chair of the North West Allied Health Professions Network Board https://www.ahpnw.nhs.uk/
The North West AHP Network Board acts as a strategic reference group that focuses on a range of issues to support the allied health professions workforce and wider workforce transformation. It guides the work of the North West AHP Network and provides Health Education England’s North West Team and other stakeholders with advice on workforce development and education commissioning in relation to AHPs.
The following video gives an overview of the Network which is hosted by and works with Health Education England. It brings together AHP’s from all 14 AHP Professions across the North West both within and across Integrated Care Systems.
The Board includes representatives from the North West AHP Network, including members from NHS provider and commissioning organisations, higher education institutes (HEIs) and strategic leads from Health Education England’s North West Team.
Alison’s appointment as chair of this Board is fantastic news for ELHT and positions the Trust well within not only Lancs and South Cumbria but also the North West in terms of our influence and connection. It also reflects the strength and recognition of our Allied Health Professions within ELHT and the contribution they make within the wider professional networks.“
