Stroke Services - Implementing enhancements to Acute Stroke Centres across Lancashire and South Cumbria

The Strategic Commissioning Committee of NHS Lancashire and South Cumbria, on behalf of all the NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups and NHS Provider Trusts, has approved to fund proposals for enhancing Acute Stroke Centres within the region.

Our A&E is “high performing” in challenging circumstances

Our Accident and Emergency (A&E) Department at Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital has been highly praised by the Royal College of Emergency Medicine for its performance, whilst managing extremely high attendances and challenges caused by the COVID 19 pandemic.
