If you would like to donate goods or gifts to a ward, service or department, please contact us first!
Before your purchase items or bring them along to one of our Trust sites, please make arrangements with the Fundraising Team. This way, we can ensure that your donation is needed and will be used as you intended, and make the necessary safeguarding checks for visiting clinical areas. If you attend a Trust site with a donation, without making prior arrangements, we can't guarantee we will be able to accept it.
Please consider the suitability of the goods or gifts you chose to donate - for example, chocolate Easter Eggs for the Children's Ward wouldn't be appropriate for children with allergies or who are nil-by-mouth. The Fundraising Team are happy to advise on items that could be donated that are much-needed and would be really appreciated!
Have you considered a financial donation instead?
Financial donations, as opposed to gifts, empower our staff and patients to choose what would be best for them, and the charity is able to allocate that funding to provide exactly what they request.
When you make a donation, you can choose to allocate the money to a specific ward or department, or you can make a general donation – but the money is always spent improving patient experience and purchasing things that make a real difference.
